One reporting format for sites in different places

The situation

DY Infra works on infrastructure — the kind of job that is spread across locations rather than contained on one plot. Roads, utilities and similar work put crews, material and machinery in places that are hours apart.

That spread is what makes reporting hard. Every site has its own day, its own labour count and its own deliveries, and none of it is visible from the office unless someone stops work to report it.

How they run it

• Every site files the same daily worksheet, so a day on one site is recorded the same way as a day on another.
• Labour is marked per person per day, and the day total builds as it is entered rather than being counted up later.
• Material is booked against the site it was delivered to, so consumption is tied to a location instead of a total.
• Reports read from those entries, so the position of every site comes from one place.

What that gives them

The office does not have to assemble the picture from calls. Each site reports in the same format, and what was done, who was there and what was delivered are answerable per site and per day from the record itself.
