What material tracking covers
Material is tracked per project and per store: what was ordered, what actually arrived, what left the store and where it went. These are the parts you will meet.
- Live stock ledger — what is in each store now, rather than what was there at the last stock take.
- Purchase orders and GRN — the order raised, set against the delivery actually received, so a short delivery is visible rather than assumed.
- Material issue tracking — what left the store, which site or floor it went to, and on whose authority.
- Wastage recording — material lost rather than used, kept separate from consumption so the two are not confused.
- Multi-store support — each site or store holds its own stock instead of one pooled figure across the company.
